Tefft White Wines

Yakima Valley

The grapes for our 2002 Chardonnay were picked September 25, 2002. Harvest brix was 23.7at a PH of 3.55. The grapes were de-stemmed, pressed and allowed to settle overnight before being racked to new French oak barrels to begin fermentation. The wine was aged ‘sur lie’ for 8 months prior to bottling in June 2003.

Our Chardonnay is made with food in mind. So, we keep the acidity up a little and downplay the heavy oak flavors and butteriness from the malolactic fermentation. Tropical flavors mingle with the taste of citrus and apple to produce a great wine to go with any meal.

Tefft Red Wines

1999 Cabernet Sauvignon

This is a wine with great body and flavors of red berries and blackberry. We produce this wine to compliment fine food. The wine is approachable in its youth and should age well for some time. This vintage is noted for its rich, concentrated flavors. Chocolate, cherry and currant flavors lace this wine with a nice lingering vanilla finish from the French oak.

This wine will make a delicious companion with your favorite meat or pasta dish and is spectacular with lamb.

Villa Toscana

This is the fourth bottling of our award-winning Chianti. This wine is a blend of fruity Zinfandel, lush Sangiovese, bold Cabernet Sauvignon, and a dollop of Nebbiolo. We have tried to capture the fresh, youthful spirit and flavors of the great Chianti’s of Italy. This wine was made to go with food! Rich flavors of cherry and blackberry lead into a pleasing middle and a great spice finish. The crisp acidity makes this an ideal wine to compliment any meal of pasta, red meats, spicy white sauces and especially Greek food.

Non-Vintage Cab Merlot Blend

Rich flavors of berries and plums. Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
