Our Story...

   My dream came true when in 1991 we established Tefft Cellars Winery in eastern Washington's Yakima Valley, the heart of the Columbia Valley's wine country. It's hard to believe that was 16 years ago this year. Since the beginning,  we were determined to dedicate our knowledge of the wine-making process to producing distinctive, quality wines. 

   We love the total experience of living and working here at Tefft Cellars Winery. We love seeing and helping the vineyards grow; we love creating wines that express the character of the grapes grown here; and we love meeting and visiting with people who also love wine -- people who find pleasure in learning about the traditional art of wine-making and its relationship with the land.  In fact, several times a year, we host gatherings at our winery that are attended by just these kinds of people.  Together, we celebrate this beautiful Washington wine region called the Yakima Valley.
