Tefft Cellars Winery and Guest House invites you to join us in the middle of this winemaking Mecca called the Yakima Valley wine region. Located only minutes west of Sunnyside and north of Interstate 82, the Tefft estate is just far enough from city life and traffic noise to forget the stress they represent. Only vineyards and orchards abound in this wine-country getaway we call home.

Not just an award-winning winery in Washington State’s prime winegrowing region, Tefft Cellars Winery and Guest House is a complete wine-country experience! Encircled by 12 acres of vineyards and neighboring apple orchards, your wine-country options are abundant at the Tefft Cellars family estate.

In 1991, we established our Washington winery in the middle of the Yakima Valley, locating our winemaking facilities and our home side by side. Since then, our commitment to healthy vineyards and elegant wines remains consistent, and our family estate and wine-country lifestyle grow every year. Part of that lifestyle is sharing our experiences with others.

A beautiful Tasting Room was built, allowing us to meet and introduce beginners and experts alike to our hand-crafted variety of white, red and dessert wines. We even added an online wine shop to make it easy to purchase our wines from your home or office.

Our patio and picnic area were enhanced with a full-wall, wine-country Mural, inviting visitors to stay a while. And the building of a new home allowed us to open our first home, next to the winery, as a Guest House for visitors who want to stay even longer.

Over the years, we’ve found yet another way to gather friends — old and new — and join with them in celebrating the several seasons of winemaking and the harvest year. We join with other wineries in the Yakima Valley Winegrowers Association’s three organized and very popular events — Red Wine and Chocolates, held the second weekend in February, Spring Barrel Tasting, the last full weekend in April, and Thanksgiving in Wine Country, held Friday, Saturday and Sunday following Thanksgiving.

Tefft Cellars also hosts its own events at the winery. One in mid-April, and an annual Tefft Cellars Anniversary Celebration, 13-years-old in 2004; another annual event celebrates the beginning of the warm weather each year — our Summer Barbecue in mid June.
